Morocco eVisa Requirements
This page is for travellers who want to know, before they start an application, whether they meet the Morocco eVisa eligibility requirements: who is eligible, which qualifying document may be needed, what your passport must satisfy, and which documents to prepare. Three routes: visa-exempt nationalities travel without a visa, eVisa-eligible travellers apply online, everyone else applies at a consulate. Check your route before gathering documents.
Eligibility
Morocco eVisa Eligibility Requirements: Who Can Apply?
Morocco eVisa eligibility is determined by your nationality and, in some cases, by a document you already hold. Morocco visa requirements place every traveller into one of three situations.
Situation 1
Visa-exempt
Nationals of certain countries may enter Morocco for a short visit without a visa. If this applies to you, no eVisa is needed and no application should be made.
Situation 2
eVisa-eligible
You need a visa and can obtain it online. You qualify either directly by nationality (see the eligible countries list), or through a qualifying document – a valid residence permit or entry visa issued by certain countries.
Situation 3
Consular visa required
If neither route applies, the visa must be requested through a Moroccan embassy or consulate. Morocco does not offer a general visa on arrival. See Embassies & Consulates.
Your situation is confirmed for your exact nationality and documents at the start of the application, before any payment is taken. A small number of nationalities use a separate Electronic Travel Authorisation instead of the eVisa; that is a different product with its own rules.
Conditional route
Qualifying Visa or Residence Permit
Some travellers whose nationality does not meet the Morocco eVisa eligibility requirements directly can still apply because of a document they hold. Under this route, a valid residence permit or a valid entry visa issued by one of the countries recognised for this purpose acts as the qualifying document.
The document must be valid when you apply and is uploaded with your application so the Moroccan authorities can check it. The exact list of recognised issuing countries is confirmed during the eligibility check at the start of the application, not assumed in advance.

- Type: a residence permit or an entry visa – not a passport stamp or an expired document
- Issuer: one of the countries recognised for this route
- Validity: must be valid at the time of application
- Holder: issued in your name, matching your passport details
- Upload: a clear scan is submitted with the application
Passport
Passport Requirements
Ordinary passport only
The eVisa is available to holders of ordinary passports. Diplomatic and service passports are not accepted for the eVisa.
Valid for at least 6 months
Your passport should be valid for at least six months (180 days) from your intended date of entry into Morocco. If it expires sooner, renew it before applying.
Linked to one passport
The eVisa is tied to the passport used in the application. Travel with that same passport; a new passport number after issue means the eVisa no longer matches.

Your valid ordinary passport is the underlying document behind all of the above. The authorities may request additional supporting documents during processing if further verification is needed.
Important Conditions
Single entry
The eVisa allows one entry into Morocco. Leaving the country uses it up, even if time remains.
Stay up to 30 days
Counted from the day you enter Morocco. The eVisa is for short visits only.
Enter within 180 days
You must arrive within 180 days of the issue date. Validity and length of stay are separate limits.
Approval is decided by Moroccan authorities
Travel Entry prepares and submits applications. Whether an eVisa is issued is decided by the relevant Moroccan authorities; no assistance service can guarantee an outcome.
An eVisa does not guarantee entry
Border officers make the final admission decision on arrival. Carry your passport, a printed copy of the eVisa and your supporting documents.
Details are final after payment
Payment submits the application and it cannot then be cancelled. Every traveller, including children, needs their own eVisa. See fees and processing times.

- Check your ordinary passport is valid for at least six months from your planned entry date – renew first if not.
- Scan your passport photo page and, if applicable, your qualifying document – clear, complete and legible.

What are the Morocco eVisa eligibility requirements?

What if I renew my passport after the eVisa is issued?
The eVisa is linked to the passport used in the application, so it will no longer match a new passport number. Renew your passport before applying rather than after.

Does my child need a separate eVisa?
Yes. Every traveller, including minors, requires their own eVisa linked to their own passport.

No. Meeting the requirements lets you apply; the decision to issue an eVisa rests with the Moroccan authorities, and border officers make the final admission decision on arrival.
