How to Apply for a Morocco eVisa
This guide walks you through the Morocco eVisa application from start to finish: what to prepare, each step of the online process, what happens after you submit, and the checks that prevent the most common delays. It is written for travellers who have already confirmed they are eligible and want to apply correctly the first time.

Who Should Use This Guide
The eVisa is for travellers who need a visa for a short visit to Morocco and are eligible to obtain it online – either directly by nationality, or because they hold a valid residence permit or entry visa issued by one of the countries recognised for the conditional route. It allows a single entry and a stay of up to 30 days, and must be used to enter within 180 days of issue.
If you are visa-exempt, you do not need to apply. If you are not eligible for the eVisa, a visa must be requested through a Moroccan embassy or consulate. Not sure which applies? Start with the eligibility requirements.

The Morocco eVisa Application Process

Receive your eVisa by email
Once a decision is issued, the result is sent to your email address. If approved, download the eVisa, print it and carry it with your passport.

Preparing Your Documents
Passport photo page
Scan the entire page flat, in good light, with all text and the machine-readable lines fully visible. No glare, shadows, fingers or cut-off edges.
Passport-style photo
A recent photo of your face, in the format shown at the upload step. Follow the on-screen guidance for framing and background.
Qualifying document (if applicable)
If you apply through a residence permit or entry visa, scan it as clearly as your passport. It must be valid on the day you apply and issued in your name.

What Happens After You Submit
Processing
Standard applications are typically processed within about 72 hours, urgent within about 24 hours. These are estimates; weekends, Moroccan public holidays and extra verification can extend them. See processing times.
Decision
The decision is made by the Moroccan authorities and sent to the email address in your application. Travel Entry keeps you informed but does not decide the outcome.
Travelling with your eVisa
Print the eVisa and carry it with the same passport you applied with. Enter within 180 days of issue; the stay is up to 30 days on a single entry. Border officers make the final admission decision.

Because payment submits the application and details are final afterwards, run through this list first.
- Name, date of birth, nationality and passport number match the passport exactly
- Passport is an ordinary passport, valid for at least six months from your entry date
- Travel dates fit a single entry of up to 30 days, starting within 180 days of issue
- Every upload is sharp, complete and legible
- Qualifying residence permit or visa is valid today (conditional route)
- Email address is correct and one you check regularly
- Processing option matches your departure date
Avoid these
Common Mistakes
Most delays and refusals trace back to a small number of avoidable errors.
- Typing a name or passport number that differs from the passport, even by one character
- Applying with a passport that expires within six months of travel
- Renewing the passport after the eVisa is issued, so the two no longer match
- Uploading blurred, cropped or glare-affected scans
- Using an expired residence permit or visa for the conditional route
- Planning two entries on one eVisa – it is single entry only
- Leaving the application to the last day and relying on the fastest estimate
Morocco eVisa Application: Frequently Asked Questions
Can I apply for the Morocco eVisa entirely online?
Yes. Eligibility check, form, document upload, payment and delivery of the result all happen online. There is no consulate appointment and no sticker in your passport.
Can I change my details after paying?
Payment submits the application, and it cannot be cancelled or edited afterwards. Review every field against your passport before you pay.
Do I need to apply for my children separately?
Yes. Each traveller, including minors, needs their own eVisa linked to their own passport, with a separate application and fee. See our FAQ on family and children applications.
What does Travel Entry actually do in the application?

How will I receive the eVisa?
By email, to the address used in the application. Download it, print a copy and carry it together with your passport when you travel.
What if my application is refused?
The visa cost is not refundable. The service fee may be refunded on request within 30 days, provided the refusal was not caused by incorrect or incomplete information. Details are on the fees page.
How early should I start the application?
Several days before departure at a minimum, and earlier in busy periods. The eVisa is valid for entry for 180 days from issue, so applying early carries no disadvantage for most trips.
